Tell me what you like & don't like about your US General tool box

Great feedback guys!!! I am considering getting a 44" top and bottom to start with. Unless someone can tell me why I would be better off with a 56" or 72". Are there differences besides the size? A lot of people mentioned the drawer depth...are the newer ones deeper? Are you talking about the...

I have found a few brands on Ebay from the UK, one of them is Bergen. Does anyone know the level of quality in British tools?

I thought I was pretty clear that I wanted less expensive things tools for school so I would get expensive tools ripped off.

Thanks for all the input guys. I should have stated that I have a pretty decent collection of higher end tools (Snap On, Williams, Mac, Proto, etc) and I don't want to take them to school for obvious reasons. I saw the name Sunex come up quite a bit. I see Sunex often on Ebay, I will keep an...

Agreed that Pittsburgh is a great value. I just had so many break that I quit buying them. I don't want to have to buy two of everything.

We used to have great swap meets here (western Washington) but unfortunately, they ae a thing of the past. Craigslist is the best I can do for used, or Ebay. Craigslist has been pretty thin lately.

I am in my first quarter and haven't actually gotten into the automotive classes yet...I'm taking welding and shop safety this quarter...so I'm not there yet. Just trying to be ahead of the game so I can avoid overspending.

Interesting. How do you get the discount? I have found good deals for Tekton on Ebay, which may already be at a bigger discount.

The post says it all. I am going back to school and I want to get the best cheap tools I can...tools that will do a decent job but won't break the bank if they "disappear." I was looking at Tekton ratcheting wrenches. I also see decent deals on GearWrench. Any other suggestions?
