My Winter Shop “Makeover” – Part 1 – Before/After Pics

:) First off, thank you all very much for all the kudos for my project. It means a lot to have the appreciation of the many talented people on the GJ. I will try to post more pics as I move forward on the move in and decoration. As far as I have progressed, there are still many more upgrades...

My Winter Shop “Makeover” – Part 1 – Before/After Pics

These are my main stable mates. The picture of the Shelby is an old one. I will be posting current pictures next week. The storage cabinets are just wooden cabinets with MDF board overlay doors, and tool cabinet handles ordered from Kobalt. I have had the same style cabinets in my...

My Winter Shop “Makeover” – Part 1 – Before/After Pics

I am not really a “newbie” on this forum, but I have basically spent the past few years lurking around, listening and learning, because I have not had a lot of knowledge or experience to share. With that said, this forum has been an invaluable resource, and I want to openly express my...

My tool "faux pas" - Must be losing my mind!

:( Close, but no cigar. You got the make right, it was a Mustang Shelby, but you got the year wrong, and the colors backwards. The car on the trailer is white, with blue stripes. Nice try. BTW, I will be posting the pics in a couple of weeks.

My tool "faux pas" - Must be losing my mind!

You guys are a hoot! :D I am so glad that I am not the only one with this malady. Interestingly, the first time I bought the tools, I went through my normal analysis process (exhaustive) and I bought the exact same set that I finally decided to buy this time around! At least I am consistent...

My tool "faux pas" - Must be losing my mind!

:headscrat Actually, it is all starting to come back to me now. I actually "stole" the trailer, and I have been hiding it in storage for two years. I did not even know the tools were in the cabinets. Do you still want them? :D

My tool "faux pas" - Must be losing my mind!

 I can't believe how silly I felt today, embarassing to say the least. I have been shopping for tools for a few weeks for my new shop. Been looking at the usual options, C'man, HF, NT, HD, Lowes, etc. Only looking for middle of the road stuff, as I am just a hobbyist. Today I was...

How much for professional diamond grinding?

+1  I recently got a bid of $2,000. for 2500 sq. ft. = $.80 per sq. ft. That was for a 20 year old floor in pretty rough condition.

Need Tool Advice – Starting From Scratch!

 You are correct, there are a lot (at least a hundred) threads on this topic, and I have read most of them. Sometimes I wish the activity count shown in the "avatar" showed the number of thread views in addition to the thread posts. I would be way up there for thread views. The one...

    Sears Dipshits

My last two experiences at Sears, one bad and one good. I bought a compressor two weeks ago, and the salesman told me that there were no accessories / attachments included, even though I specifically asked about accessories. He proceeded to gather up eight different packages of connectors...

Need Tool Advice – Starting From Scratch!

Wow! :shocking: You guys are great! Many excellent ideas and suggestions, all much appreciated. I actually went to Sears today, and spent quite a bit of time with their tool specialist. He was very patient, and also seemed quite knowledgeable. After looking at tool sets, I asked about...

WTB: Snap On Corvette 50th Anniv. Tool Box

;) Well, yes and no. This is the smaller version, which I just bought. The larger version is a 54" W base, plus a riser / hutch, and an upper storage unit. I have got a good lead, and am on the hunt. This forum has been a great source of info. for my garage project.
