Snap On KRL1033 Triple Bank *****SOLD*****

Up for sale is this Snap On Master Series KRL1033 tool box. This is the rare and highly desirable 73" long and extra deep (29") triple bank model with the full width top drawers. Most triple bank models have the large top drawers only over two of the three banks. The 1033 model has both top...

    Let's see your toolbox.

CS454, who makes those yellow wrench racks you have? Are they painted metal or plastic? Looking for something like that to clean up my box

    Let's see your toolbox.

Some serious set ups here. Beautiful! What does everyone use to clean their snap on boxes? What gets the serious crud and muck off without hurting the paint? I'm afraid to use anything stronger than car wash soap, but that doesn't do much against stuff like overspray from spray adhesive or...

    Stihl & Husqvarna chainsaws

Serious money for that saw! Its pretty awesome having a saw with fuel injection, but its big bucks! I have used a 661, and the ones with the m-tronic ignition are pretty much fool proof. I think for the same money (maybe even less) than a 500i, I would probably go for the 661. Its pretty close...

Pittsburgh vs. Icon Allen & Torx Sockets - Worth the difference?

Not sure if Lowes still has Kobalt tools, or if they have moved everything over to Crapsman, but I have a set of 3/8 drive allen and torx bits from kobalt that I have abused for a few years now and havent managed to round off the ends yet. Might be worth a look. They were 1/10 what snapon was...

What do you like your hammer handles made of?

Another solid vote for estwing with the rubber handle hammers. I have used others, but always come back to the standard estwing models.

    Stihl & Husqvarna chainsaws

I had a 261 for about 5 years and bought a new 362CM with the full wrap handle. The 362 will pull a 25" bar through live oak with no problem using a standard yellow chain. If I need more saw, my brother has a 660 I can borrow, but I haven't found that situation yet... I debated between getting...

Snap On Wrench sets in foam?

I have a set of open end flare nut wrenches and a set of ratchet ends that sit in pretty racks, but all the rest are loose in the draw... The same way my father had his in his box... for almost 50 years... only takes me an extra few seconds to find anything, even on my worst day. If I had a...

Is my snap on classic 78 legit

Is anyone actually faking snap on rolling boxes?

Looks like I’m buying a new box

So how is the new box? I got a black KRL 1033 back in December. I love the TWO full width top draws. All the most commonly used stuff fits in those two draws. Makes it easy to find thing quickly. The high top also makes it comfortable to work on something while sitting on a bar height stool.

    Chainsaw disappointment

Even the Stihl 660 and the mother of all monsters, the 880 magnum have handles and various covers made of plastic. Those are the major league saws lumber jacks are running in the logging industry. Day after day for years those saws are running gallons of gas per day in harsh conditions. If...

Snap on is back at it with indexing ratchets (?)

Was the speeder handle ratchet discontinued and just reintroduced? I've had one of those for the past 15 years. Great tool for tearing down engine parts that have long bolts... things like head bolts and such.
