    Mr. Cool 36K wall brackets

I thought about that, but having it mounted on the building is easier for mowing and keeping leaves and debris away from it as much as possible.

    Mr. Cool 36K wall brackets

I just ordered the Mr. Cool 5th Gen 36k Mini-split and looking to get the outside wall mount bracket for it. The reviews from the Mr.cool brand are not good at all, and just seeing if anyone has any alternatives that worked well. I could build one, but looking to just get one. I tried...

    Remote controlled light switches

Are they already wired to a switch? I just installed TP-link WiFi switches. They were cheap and work great.

What power supply, cable, and dimmer(s) for 10 volt dimming?

For my High bays i ran the NM-B Duo cable and then i have them running off Lutron Diva Dimmer switches. I have 9 Lithonia bay lights. To not overload the switches, i have 2 Lutron Diva Dimmer Switches and set the garage up with backside and then front side lights. Works perfect without any...

Fitting short wheel base car (C6) on 2 post lift

I have a Triumph 2 post lift like your atlas lift and have the same issues. I dont trust using a hockey puck or wood on top of the arms to lift the car. There could be a time where those slide and there goes the car. I only put my C7 on the lift once doing that and I wasnt comfortable. Why...

    Deck update

Update, i ripped off the old deck boards and new deck boards have been replaced. There was no rot at all, and everything was solid and sturdy. Home depot did have the DJT14Z deck joist ties in stock, so i bought those with their proper fasteners and added them. Should be good to go for many...

    Deck update

There is not a problem i am trying to fix exactly. I figured since im replacing the top (original trex and its just worn and done) to a new timbertech top, why not bring the structure to latest code if i can easily. The current structure is completely solid, no movement, no sagging, nothing...

    Deck update

I agree lol, just throwing stuff out there and seeing what sticks. I guess i will add those simpson ties and go from there.

    Deck update

From the bottom of the side beams to the ground is literally 8" to 10" Could i put pressure treated 2x10's across that come in contact with the ground?

    Deck update

I guess my question because i am crazy, what is the easiest way to get this structure up to standards without a major overhaul. Is there a way to attach something to the existing posts that is within code that supports those side beams?

    Deck update

Im not altering the size of the deck, so only a permit is required if the size is being altered.

    Deck update

Hi, I am replacing the top of my existing deck that was built back in 2004 (not me). The structure is sturdy and no rot at all but it was built using the old post to beam method where the beams are bolted to the side of the posts. I am not getting it inspected, but i also want to try and...

Outdoor Lights mounting block and wiring

I might try and just put 2 NM cables in each of those siding mounting blocks when I wire it up. Going all the way back to the switch is a lot more wiring plus I am putting 6 outside lights on 2 switches in the same box. That would mean 7 sets of nm in a 2 gang box. That doesn’t make sense either.

Outdoor Lights mounting block and wiring

That might be an option. What do they do when people build new houses? Most people have more than one light by their garage doors, is it a junction box just in the attic?
