    timing light advice?

I've got an older Craftsman with advance dial that's like new. I've been planning to sell it on eBay. IM me your email address if you're interested and I can send you pictures. It's US-made, model 2194. (161.2194 on the light)

SEARS SYWR Redeem up to $20 in points and we'll double it

Found this in SD, just went to Sears and it worked for me. Sears in-store redemption of points = double points value up to $40 ($20 in points)...

    craftsman pro torx screwdrivers

As djb2 wrote, T27 is used on Harley-Davidsons, but nowhere I'm aware of with restricted access. Since all the H-D fasteners have torque specs, bit sockets are necessary for final tightening. Spinner handles make work quick with bit sockets, of course.

"Volunteers, take $5 in Points off your Tools purchase"

It appears to work on any tools. I just put a small $13 socket set in my cart and tried checkout. When I clicked the button to use SWYR points, it added an extra $5 worth.

Gearwrench Roto Ratchets - Sears $30/set

I just put one in my cart and it worked fine at $29.99. Sale is still on, website just screwy as usual. Amazon dropped their price last time to match the previous Sears sale, and then raised it as soon as the Sears sale ended. Smart business move, but a bit viscious, which is why I bought...

Gearwrench Roto Ratchets - Sears $30/set

Thank you! Just ordered a set. I passed last time and was kicking myself a bit afterwards. I needed a few more things, so I used $5 off $50 to get them for $25. "Needed" being a term GJ'ers understand.

Sears Outlet at 60% off of Craftsman Industrial

Did anyone happen to pick up an extra of the GearWrench 3/8" 12pt deep metric socket set for $7.99, or see one still hanging in a store?

Do increasing-size socket adapters (1/4" to 3/8", for ex.) get any use?

I use 1/4 - 3/8 with spinner handles a lot, especially for torx, for unassembling and reassembling - everything except final tightening when more torque is needed.

Free shipping deal is gone. Now it's only for orders $39 or more. The day this was posted and the next day it had no price restrictions. I placed an order for just over $1 after redeeming a few dollars in SYWR points, and got it shipped for free.

    Tool borrowing

I've been on both sides, and the answer was always dependent on the customer, the tool, and the situation. As a (motorcycle) mechanic, I had customers ask to borrow simple tools for a few minutes, like a screwdriver to install a license plate. I had a customer ask to borrow my vacuum gauges...
