Had mine on a slab but was not necessary, I put two layers of 1/2" plywood down. I wired it, insulated and painted the inside and got me through 5 years with no issues. Here is a picture of mine, sadly I don't have any inside pictures

you shouldn't be able to stand fully up if its on correctly and should be a little uncomfortable in the junk area. This thing is made to save your life in a fall and if it is too loose you can slip out of it or worse turn your junk inside out or cut circulation off to your legs.

great garage and great camaro from one camaro fan to another
