Just curious why you went pole barn vs other buildings? I'm looking into something similar sized. Is that a room or two at the back of the building? What are the costs looking like? Thanks
Guy has 3 acres of land. At best he could do an eighth of an acre with what you described. Still leaves him 97% of his grass left. Works fine when you live in the city but who wants that?
Yeah I'm thinking this might be the way to go. I already have two zero turns because I don't want to spend my life mowing. Only thing is the cost of the skidsteer. I'm sure one would last me a lifetime but I believe they are around 50k new?
I have 2 gravely zt hd 60 inch deck. My wife rides one and I ride the other. We have 8 acres and get it done in around 2 hours ish total. It's a low end commercial unit. I think new they are around $5k. They sell the same mower at Lowe's under the ariens brand. Ariens Apex mower. I think the...

I'm thinking of a metal building with no insulation. I'm in Texas though so heat is off the charts. I've heard of blanket insulation trapping moisture as well. Your thoughts on just having a really well ventilated shop with no insulation? I'm thinking of big overhead doors on each side...
Honestly I'd rather have a smaller stick built than a pole barn. I just don't like the way pole barns are constructed. 24x24 is probably more than enough especially if you're worried about yard space. I have 8 acres and I don't even want a huge shop. I prefer to look at the scenery as opposed to...
Yeah I think I'm going to have the pad built separately from the building.
As far as restrictions I'm really out in the sticks. My neighbors are more horses and cows than they are people. There are seriously no restrictions.
I'm looking to build a shop in the near future. I'm not looking to do much or any of the work. I'm struggling with going stick built or metal building. I'd prefer metal but insulating it scares me and it's too hot if I don't insulate it. I live in north Texas. I've heard that the foam insulation...
