    danmar lift seals

You have 2 options, in my opinion if the manufacturer won't help you: 1. Disassemble the cylinder and take the seals to a hydraulic seal distributor for identification. 2. Take the cylinder to a cylinder repair facility and they can take care of it. And ask for a list of the parts used so you...

Faulty air compressor causes explosion and fire

I have a 2400 ft shop near the house with a lot of stuff plugged in. I turn off the main breaker to kill everything each time I am done for the day.

    Bendpak mx-10cx problem

I have been unable to find viscosity number for that oil, but it is probably comparable to AW32 or AW46 hydraulic oil. I know some folks use it in equipment for hydraulic fluid. To give you an idea of the affects of temp on AW32, which is comparable to about an SAE 8 motor oil: Viscosity at...

    Bendpak mx-10cx problem

Well there you go. Probably the issue. I had a problem with my four post where the rear section always lagged behind the front, whether going up or down. The installer came back and made a cable adjustment and the problem was solved.

    Bendpak mx-10cx problem

Cylinders seldom will travel together unless physically connected. Then they will be in sync. Sounds like that is what is happening as I begin to understand what you are describing. When the cable tension is equal they move together. Is that right? When you continue lifting the locks should set...

    Bendpak mx-10cx problem

No divider. Looks like the cables are to keep the arms in sync. Rotary has a video on You Tube explaining how to adjust cable tension so the arms move together. There is also a service manual online for your lift.

    Bendpak mx-10cx problem

What do you mean by powered and non-powered? There may be a flow divider valve between the two cylinders to insure they travel at the same rate regardless of differences in load. There would usually be one or two cartridges in the divider block that are removable. I would have to see a photo to...

    Hydraulic Pump Motor

SPX makes units with an optional manifold (KB11) that mounts to the valve plate between the motor and pump which will allow you to mount a 4-way directional valve for double acting cylinders. Look at their website. I built quite a few of them for an OEM customer. You can get a manual control...

    Hydraulic Pump Motor

With a 5 x 24 cylinder, the volume required to extend is 471 cubic inches. That is the equivalent of 2 gallons. Make sure the tank on your new unit has that capacity in storage. Most of those small units are designed for single-acting cylinders with spring or gravity return and require some...

    Hydraulic Pump Motor

The pump you linked to would require an SAE size A foot bracket for mounting which is readily available from several sources. Or build a bracket with a 3 1/4" hole. Try Northern Hydraulics for example for a foot mount. Another piece of dribble, the tension on the pump's drive pulley should be...

    Hydraulic Pump Motor

One more piece of dribble. To get 20T on a 5" bore would require 2037 PSI. F= P x A. The area of a 5" bore is 19.635 sq. in.

    Hydraulic Pump Motor

The pump on the link you posted would require approximately 15 HP at 1500 PSI, 1750 RPM. Slow it down to 1/2 speed and HP would be 7.5. If pressure is 3000 PSI, HP required would be 30 at 1750 RPM. Not sure how much side load the shaft and bushing could withstand if belt driven without a jackshaft.

    Hydraulic Pump Motor

HP required can be calculated this way: HP = GPM x Pressure x .000583 A rule of thumb estimate is 1HP for 1 GPM at 1500 PSI. If you cut the flow in half, the HP required is cut in half. I will add another precaution to the one's stated above. If you have a vane pump, they have a minimum RPM...

    Fireplace Glass Cleaning

I use Weiman stove top cleaner on the woodstove glass, car glass, reading glasses and my stove top. I love that stuff. It is liquid wax that dries fast without streaking. Even use it on the cell phone glass.
