That is a very generous offer and I appreciate it. However, I did measure with calipers and the spindle is 1 inch dead on -- 1.000. Bummer.

This is a photo of the rear. I am looking at part no. 2900110 as a potential replacement, but really have no idea whether it would work, or what else might be available.

Okay, here is a photo of the vise before I took it apart. It is in good shape minus the missing nut and dust cap.

Thanks for the help! I believe the 101043 is, in fact, a 5-inch machinist vise, so that would make sense. I will grab a couple pictures tonight, and measure the main screw diameter. There is no date stamp on the slide key, however, so I don't know the year. It is a Schiller Park, IL vise...
