Don't know if these count but here's a couple things I've done .

I use peppermint oil on cotton balls placed in corners and on each side of a door. Also dryer sheets . Had a Great Aunt that would come to OK and visit in the summer she would take a bushel basket full of Hedge Apples back to New Jersey with her to put in her cabinets to keep out the bugs ...

The DD I have doesn't like to sharpen 1/4 and smaller . The edge on the flutes are wrong . I can sharpen 3/8 and bigger by hand . Its hard to keep a stone square enough to sharpen small dia bits . When there are 3 other people messing up the stones.

I used hydraulic couplers .

I've welded a section of pipe on the top and bottom of one to push dents out on grain auger tubes . Sometimes a longer handle is needed .

Thank you for your service. Make sure you get paid before releasing repaired equipment back to owner. Where I live there were 2 very talented mechanics that were very reasonable on the shop hourly rate . Because a few no pays they have shut their doors and now work for someone else .

I have 2 doors 10'x15' made of 1 1/4" sq tubing covered with barn tin. Hanging off barn track with no problems . You just have to find rollers that will handle the weight of your doors. You could put a turnbuckle fixed on the wall that you could hook to the doors when they are closed . To pull...
