Thank you, we are on 5 acres. Its almost too much to take care of and not enough to do anything with. Since we don't have horses any more mowing has turned into a full time job. Guy

Started framing in the front, went with a 16' single garage door. This job seemed a lot harder than I remember it did 5 years ago.

Fast forward to summer 2009, we had thinned the horses down and I wanted to finish the building. Poured a slab inside the existing walls.

Finally got 3 sides up, used the building to store horse hay, trailers and tractor in up until 2009.

I purchase the trusses and had to figure a way to hoist them up. Came up with a boom pole that attached to the front end loader. They went up pretty easy. Just had enough money for roof metal so that is the way it stayed for a little while. At least it got the trailers out of the weather.

I have not had any trouble yet, it is pretty thick tubing 1/4 if I remember right. If I had do overs I would pour a slab first then anchor the post to the slab.

I built it like a pole barn but out of metal. Set the poles as deep as I could get them with the tractor, about 4 feet. And a lot of concrete. We welded rebar ties to the post, not sure it will help but it was a good way to teach my helper how to weld. He was 11 years old then, he is now taller...

Received the metal delivery for the framing. Sure was a lot of money for just a little bit of metal.
