    cleaning aluminum wheels

I used mothers aluminum polish, Eagle one cleaner, and polish again. Used a terry cloth towel to scrub by hand. Later this year in going to use an acid to clean up the fake beadlock bolt heads.

WTF! Who makes a floor jack that's worth a ****?

My Stanley 2 ton I bought at Walmart 4 years ago is still going strong. Not a high lift or a low pro but it's lifted many cummins trucks and many Kubota tractors.

What are "Wobble Plus" & "Locking" extensions

+1 wobble plus. If you do any serious automotive work, a set can be worth their weight in gold and busted knuckle. I just use 2 wobbles and 2 regular extensions to take out the top 2 bolts that were holding my trans to my engine in my truck. I've also used a couple shorty wobbles to get into...

Yet another sign the apocalypse is upon us.

Very rarely does someone sell something that was taken care of. All that I hear at 26 was "Why didn't you go to college?" The trades are lacking and good young crop are all in school. Then in my area those fixer upper houses are so run down and overpriced, by the time you've rebuilt the darn...

    Intro and some photos

Got some more of the garage cleaned and needed to do the rear main seal in my truck. So I thought it was too tall. I figured I could back in the truck to get out of the rain if it started like they predicted. So I back in and check to see if I was close. One thing led to another and this is the...

    Intro and some photos

Been awhile so I'll update. No photos. Thanks to my position, I am acquiring 3 file cabinets, any dense counter top from modular desktops that I want ranging from 6ft long to 2ft long and a couple corner pieces, 3 overhead file cabinets, and 2 sets of parabolic lights, 1 3 bulb single ballast...

    CNC Question - E-stop wiring

While we don't have CNCs where I work, we do have complex machinery that have people working with them (food packaging). Each E-stop interrupts the control voltage for the main power contactor. This then stops all power coming in. So putting a contactor before the feeds for the drivers and...

    Milwaukee Impact driver

We rebuild our drills at work all the time. Too much hassle to warranty a tool we use every day as they choose to rebuild instead of replace. Buy a brush card, wait a day or 2 for shipping, replace. Takes use about 2 hours and that includes cleaning and adding more grease.

    For the LED fanboys

And how does it compare to T8s? Local firehouse switched from T8s to LED and saw a 20% reduction in energy use while having better lighting.
