Hey Guys,
I was intrigued about these ratchets after I read they were made by Apex and essentially a finer tooth version of the Sata/Gearwrench 120 position ratchets and they have quick release.
If you add a smaller filler item you can use the $5 off $50 code for email sign ups...
Cool deal! Yes, the ratchet feels really good. I'm with you on the QR, I scored the $43 120xp 3 ratchet set and I'm debating on keeping it or not. Husky has 144 position versions that are made by Apex(Parent company of gearwrench) which have quick release.
Actually, they just went on sale...
Just think, if Ford would have never started that process back in 1975, NASA would have never lost that Orbiter. Glad you finally realized that SAE measurements aren't that bad.
Yes, good ole USA is just like Liberia and Burma because we don't use the metrics. :wtf:
There are substantial costs associated with going to the Metric system. It isn't as easy as flipping a switch. As I mentioned in my last post, things measured using the metric system are no better than...
You must be very picky about what you touch then. SAE is far from dead if you live in this country or Canada. The only way where I see that working in this country is if you only work on import equipment. Heck, even the standard American home has SAE fasteners in most applications that require a...
I don't get the whole Tekton craze. Sure their chrome tends to look pretty, but the ratchets still are lacking compared to the competition even after the latest update, and the sockets have the same deep broaches that the cheapo sockets have. I do like the way most of their sets cover all the...
You can't even combine harbor freight items to match what this set gives for a lower price. My set that came still said made in Taiwan, and the sockets have shallow broaches just like the tool truck brands. Which in my opinion come in very handy on the the 1/4" drive size sockets. I've packed...
Hey Guys,
Home Depot and Amazon has had the 80300P set on sale for this price for a little while now. Mine just showed up yesterday and I'm really happy with it. No skipped sizes and the 120xp ratchet blew me away. It's really nice...
The clunkiness was in reference to their physical dimensions. They are shorter and thicker than most other brands I have. I decided to order a 120xp gearwrench socket set, the 1/4" ratchet blows away the kobalt both in feel and dimensions.
It's $99 worth of tools for sure, just not a great fit...
I think they switched suppliers for the kobalt stuff just recently. I noticed the engravings/stampings on the tools looked a bit rougher than the smaller sets I picked up on clearance and the ratchets actually were a bit lighter and longer than the clearance set which was nice, but the finishing...
