Absolutely correct. It's noticeably weaker than expected. It looked useful and I had some coupons or something, so I bought it, but I haven't found any job that it does better than anything else. I couldn't recommend it in its current iteration either.

If it breaks or otherwise frustrates me, it's gotta go. Tools need to solve problems, not create them. Last thing I threw the f*** away was a pair of Robogrip pliers that came in a box lot. They were fine for a bit, but as soon as they failed, they went into the trash where they belonged.

Dude, if you went to an estate sale and found overpriced stuff and declined to spend any of your hard-earned money on it, then you won. It's a negative to overpay for something, in my book. There will be another drill press and Kennedy box in future.
