    Finding a ground

:spit::spit: Single pole breakers are $5-10 bucks a piece. If it is weak enough to BLOW up, best it does it while he is at home trying to find a short/overload than it tripping and BLOWING up while he is not home.

Adding a concrete slab after the build

As you can see, to do it right just so the CP can be anchored to the concrete the CP needs to sit ON top of the concrete, not having it poured up against the bottom tubing. So, if I had a existing metal CP already sitting in place, I would move it to the side or raise it up and put it on...

Adding smoke detector to detached garage from house

What I found when I wired my attached garage SD with the rest of the other 6 SD's that I wired 120 volt/ 3 wire interconnected in our house, was nuisance trips from the garage SD. Anytime I ran a torch or stirred up a smell in the garage the SD would alarm all 7 alarms, as it was supposed to...

    Concrete Anchors for Garage Floor?

Yep, like those. But like the other guys stated, for vehicle pulling using two drop in anchors 1/2" with angle iron would be better than depending on just one eye bolt. Back in early 2000's when I was restoring my 79 F150 4x4 I had the same issue. While needing to pull it in and out of the...

    Spinning concrete anchor

My sketch and reply here is really taking the anchoring topic to the extreme, but I have too much time on my hands now while being retired. So I find these topics fun now. :) Any time a load is being supported entirely from the structure ABOVE it like in a parking structure, those anchoring...

    Concrete Anchors for Garage Floor?

The anchor pot I like because it would be flush and not a trip hazard. The eyebolt's bolt, would have to stick up above the concrete all the time to be used. I used a Redhead "drop in" anchor in my garage floor, that I screw my threaded eye bolt in to. Then when I remove the eyebolt, I just...

Adding a porch to a garage

Pictures of the two structures being posted here showing where the proposed porch will be built or even a hand drawn sketch, will really help out here.

    Water Spigot / Hose Attachment

Just my experience with the "expanding" hoses. I have had 2 of them and they both blew apart within two months of use.

Any PROs see a problem with this picture?

You guys have some good some ZOOM on your PC's to see the pics of the breakers that well. :) Good call....

Any PROs see a problem with this picture?

Really odd how that service passed inspection with no main breaker in the breaker box OR a main disconnect after the meter also....So really a pro needs to access the situation for you and this will need to be fixed. . The breaker box looks like it is a 24 circuit unit. And the main service...

    Water Spigot / Hose Attachment

Sure it will. And if the WYE don't last over a year, you will only be out $7.00. The largest problem I can see is getting the working hose taken off and put back on by hand without it leaking. Probably have to keep a pair of Channelock plier's handy, if the working hose has to be removed a lot.

    Spinning concrete anchor

I have always favored sleeve anchors over wedge, as their expansion cones are taller, meaning more metal digging in to the walls of the hole bored. And for heavy loads that will have vertical or side movements being held down by anchors, I like epoxied in "all thread rod" over expansion...

Thinking about trying Delta Dye for basement flooring

Being in that time era, if its 9" x 9" square VCT tiles be careful. As the tile and even the black mastic can have asbestos in it.
