MaxJax M6K lift anchors…regular or epoxy?

With regard to running hydraulic lines under the concrete -- I wall-mounted my pump and simply ran the lines straight up the wall and over to a two-by that runs across the bay, dropping each line from above directly to each respective coupling. Lines are entirely out of the way, hugging the...

I only asked because there was this exact thread not long ago and probably a couple others prior.

2 TOUGHSERIES Construction Jacks (DWHT83550) free shipping, no taxes, $149.95

I agree that these open a whole other avenue of how to approach a number of projects. For example, I'm going to be putting up a gazebo over part of my deck requiring one sonotube to be located under part of the deck itself. I plan to use the jacks to pull deck boards up without using prybars...

2 TOUGHSERIES Construction Jacks (DWHT83550) free shipping, no taxes, $149.95

I bought two of these when the OP posted. I really didn't have a specific use in mind but thought they'd be useful at some point in the future. Little did I know how useful. A tree punched an 8 inch hole through the steel roof on my shop necessitating replacing 5 standing seam panels and the...

MaxJax M6K lift anchors…regular or epoxy?

I feel like I reply to this question bi-yearly. I use the stock provided wedge anchors on now two different shop floors. I've never had one fail since, like 2009 when I bought mine on a group buy. I just lifted my Silverado 1500 last night to change the oil... I check the torque...

    Shop fan ventilation specs

Yeah, the whole inside is wide open trusses/purlins -- no ceiling.

    Shop fan ventilation specs

Yep -- that's going to be the way it works, I figure. It does okay until the days get really hot, then there is so much radiant heat coming through the roof sheathing that it becomes oven-like (Steel over tar paper over plywood -- the other side of the plywood is the interior.

    Shop fan ventilation specs

Well, the purlins are crossways to the slope so there is no way air let in at a soffit would follow the roof line to the ridge.

    Shop fan ventilation specs

No, I don't have soffit vents -- there are two trusses internal to the walls and the purlins cross the roof's slope. Just a wide open under-roof with the full-length ridge vent. I have clear polycarb siding at the gables for light. I just figured it I pulled in cool are at the floor, it...

    Shop fan ventilation specs

My shop is 36x36 with the peak at 18 ft and 12 ft side walls. No roof insulation -- 2 inch blanket insulation on the walls. Ridge has a vent full length and about a 2 inch gap in the sheathing at the peak for that entire 36 ft length. Things get hot in the summer and I'm considering...
