Dad's Garage - Keeps on giving...

Yeah, he actually worked for Woodstream Corp, which owned the Animal Trap Co. They were his salesman samples. I had forgotten all about them - well, until they tested every ounce of my strength. In addition to these, I have thousands of Old Pal Lures - many tackle boxes, fishing rods, reels, rod...

Dad's Garage - Keeps on giving...

First and Foremost - someone please respond to this message. After this experience, I'm not entirely sure I'm even still alive?!? This was in Dad's garage attic in an old Teflon barrel. The attic was too short to open the barrel up there and weighed so much that I could barely move it. I ruined...

Tell me if this roofing is acceptable or not

Looks correct to me. I'd be more concerned with the type of nails used, their positioning and depth. That's where I've seen the most failures. *BTW: Good move on having this done before the snow flies. IA like in MN - it can happen anytime after July 4th!

    Hole hawg or regular drill??

If you were just a bit closer to the TC's I'd loan you my Hole Hawg. I so rarely use it - but when I do, its a Godsend!

Help with tall fence post sizing

I would recommend that you send these neighbors a letter that clearly states that they are not to mow grass/weeds on your side of the property - nor should they trespass or bury anything. That quick letter (send it certified/receipt requested and keep a copy in your file) is your ammo for future...

Tell your stories about your dad's garage adventures

I’m guessing this was the very late 60’s or early 70’s and my Dad summoned me out to the garage one cold winter day to “help him with something”. Well, apparently Minnesota had recently outlawed studded snow tires and he had been stopped by the Highway Patrol the night before. In the next few...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I'll say that's more than a passing resemblance! Thanks for that. $14.50 back in the day..! Any clue what year it is? I'm thinking mid 50's??

Was it worth it for you?

Do it now! If you think the changes in the 12 years you reference to the category of "Wildland Urban Interface zone" was bad - wait until Biden/Harris and team get finished their detoxification mission. You'll be in a newly created EARTH FIRST REVITALIZATION GIVE BACK ZONE - where you'll have...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Just picked up this Morgan No-4 Bench Vise for what I think was a fair price. I just wiped it down, greased the screw/slide and it's very smooth and tightens well. I'm personally a fan of leaving them in as-is condition. I can't seem to locate much of anything on this model. Anyone have any...

Need to make a decorative propeller

OK so first off - Super cool Mom to have something like this made for son. He may not know how cool that is until he's older, but surface cool for now suffices. Equally cool you agreed to make it and then added points for a project with your Dad! How fun!!
