    Storage unit lighting???

OK... After visiting my local HD store, the T5HO lights have me dreaming about them... I am currently thinking of either using 3 of the 8' T8s or 2 of the 8' T5HOs. I think the 3 T8 units will spread the light out better than the 2 T5HOs. But, those T5HOs have been keeping me up at night...

    Why go cordless for automotive?

My little sister has a Dodge Neon... She had an issue with one of the rocker shafts. I ended up going to the "pick a part" junkyard in search for the replacement part for her. Once I got to the JY, I told the young lady what I was after, and she pointed me in the proper direction. After...

    Storage unit lighting???

They are pretty easy going over there... The prior tenant is a good friend of mine. He had a total of 12 T12 4' fixtures wired up and screwed into the ceiling with short Tapcon screws. I was just reading up about the T5HO lights on another thread... Do you think I would be OK with 2 of the...

    Storage unit lighting???

Anybody have any recommendations? The ceiling has a slight slope and is between 8.5 and 9 feet high. The main room is actually 18.5 x 23, and it will only contain my project car and the shelving pictured. The small storage room is 7.5 x 11.5, and will contain my toolbox, a 6 x 2 workbench...

    Storage unit lighting???

My new shop is in a storage unit... The main "room" is approximately 20x23 with a smaller storage area which is not separated. The wall closest to the main room has my storage racks which are 8ft tall and 12.5ft long. The unit currently has 2 4' T12 shop lights on the ceiling which is...

    Storage unit AC?

Bogey won, I've never seen one of these. How big are they? I need to keep my eyes peeled on CL for one of these units! I was primarily thinking of a window unit because I can pick one up super cheap! I don't need to hang meat in there, but Id love it if I could keep it in the mid to upper...

    Storage unit AC?

I am currently working in a 15x20 storage unit with a metal roof and no electricity (using a generator to run my compressor and welder). I will be moving into a MUCH larger unit at the end of the month. My new unit has a concrete roof, both 110 and 220, and is 3 15x20's with a structure built...

Which compressor to run off of a generator???

The generator is a 8450/6750 with Honda GX390 13hp engine. I guess I need to look and see what breaker it has for the 220 outlet. Is this even a possibility... or do I need to try finding a large gas powered compressor? Thank You Curtis

Which compressor to run off of a generator???

I am currently working on my car in a storage unit. Unfortunately, I have extremely limited power on tap. I have been running my Mig machine and my 26 gallon compressor off of a generator. Could I run a larger (60 gallon or so) compressor on a generator? My generator does have a 220...

    Starting my collection

Hi, I'm new here too! I turned 15 and through a lot of hard work, I got my 66 Nova, and my parents got me a small set of craftsman tools for Christmas. I have since added LOTS of tools and have just purchased my 4th mid 60's Nova. A gearhead has to have tools and it apears that you have one...
