It would be nice, but the floor plate is a good 4-5" wide. It would have to be a wide channel and I didn't want to involve myself with that. Something else would go wrong because if I didn't bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all.

Concrete is poured

A 4'x4' pad 6" deep only calls for about a 1/4 of a yard. Your hole would have to be pretty deep to put a hole yard in. And the concrete company that poured the floor as well as numerous concrete guys I talked to said the heavy duty commercial grade 5000 psi bag concrete would be fine.

What kind of concrete did you end up using? My dilema is I only need about 1/4 yard and there is a 1-3 yard min purchase for truck delivery. Will the high psi bag concrete from Lowes hold? I think Quikrete has a 5000psi High strength pro finish concrete.

Little setback. The post that mounted near the wall went up fine. However the post that was to mount in the middle of the floor was supposed to have 4" of concrete under it. Come to find out it only has 3 1/2". Now gotta rip up a 4'x4' square and make it a little deeper then repour some...

Got an installer coming in a couple of days to install it. Said it would take a few hours to install it as opposed to a month for me to get it done lol. I'll post pics after it's done.
