    Outlet Covers, what to use?

I used (and am using) exactly what Terry D lists above and couldn't be happier. It was a simple install and is a very clean and bulletproof setup.

    Light Fixture Layout Collections

Re: High Bay or 4' Strip? RP, I have both types of fixtures. The rule of thumb that I've seen here is that 12' is the minimum for high bay fixtures. The main thing I would say is to embrace the excess. It may seem like too many fixtures, but the result is well worth it. The lighting is one...

    Lazer Level??? Pole Barn

I picked up a used one on CL and used it for many tasks through the build up to running surface mount EMT and the fixtures on the ceiling. It saved tons of time for me and was well worth getting.

    Lighting Layout for 64x40 garage

These are the high bays I used: https://www.beeslighting.com/MLH-12L-UV-50K-D10 The standard fixtures and bulbs were from the first post in the sticky "fixture" thread. I get 103-104 FC everywhere in the shop.

    Lighting Layout for 64x40 garage

For me, good lighting was high on the "want" list. My shop is 44x50. I have 12 high bay fixtures in the center section and 18 4' tube fixtures in each lean-to. This eliminates all shadows - at least until I move the machines in.

    Presence sensing switches

This isn't what you asked, but I was going to go down the motion sensor path, but I have decided on smart switches. I haven't done this yet, but it's possible to add location logic so that the lights go off if I (my phone) am in the house for x time. My purpose for either of these choices was...

    Ground routing in pole shed

Look up Ufer ground, for sure. It's done prior to the pour, so if it works in your area, now is the time.

HD special of the day, bunch of garage storage, work benches, quickjacks, lifts 11/29

Thanks for the link. Really great price on the anti-fatigue mats. I already have three that I bought at full price. I ordered five more.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I installed "Lux." It may not be a great one, but what it shows aligns with what PS calculated.

Based on my experience with two switches for my high bay lights, most of the time you will have both switches on. That might not be the case if your fixtures can't be wired with a dimmer, in which case you may want to consider option 4 and completely alternate the fixtures on each switch.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Platonic Solid, I did the above with a model change for the high bays. I could not be happier with the lighting. The light meter app on my phone shows just over 100fc everywhere. Shadows are basically nonexistant. My family thinks I've gone off the deep end, but I didn't build the shop for...

How hard would it be for me to jack this shed over?

I moved a 12x24 on round fence posts. Moved it about 100' and turned it 90 degrees during the move.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Mine was easier since the lights are fed via surface emt. I'm not a sparky, but I think with the proper fitting at the top of the fixture you can bring romex into the top of the light. Hopefully someone else will chime in if I'm wrong. Both the high bay fixtures and the 4' standard fixtures...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I would think that depends on how far apart they will be. In two lower sections of my shop, the fixtures in each row are 10" apart, so I just have a short section of emt between them. Depending on your build, you may not be ok with exposed conduit between the fixtures. I painted it white, like...
