I wasn't really thinking about cracks. It uses 5" of concrete for the 2" pipes and 8" of concrete for the 4" pipes. Along with rebar and metal mesh.
I would want to talk to a homeowner who has had it for a few years and see what they say.
Thanks for the reply. No I have not seen an install yet but I will be checking one out if I go that route. It looks like you can go with 2" or 4" piping.
I like how the whole foundation is enclosed in their insulated forms.
Just waiting on an email for a quote from Legalett.
As anyone here used the Legalett geo-slab foundation.
It is a air heated slab on grade foundation. It seems very interesting and a great idea if it actually works.
I am looking at building the exact same thing. Just working on what needs to be done for fire barrier between the garage and living space. I also want to redesign the living area a bit. A few people have told me the top floor will be "bouncy" as the span for the joists is 30'. Any other info...
Wanting to build a 30x40 garage this summer. I am in Ont. Canada and I am wondering what everyone is paying for their cement work. It will be about a 4-5ft wall on footings then the floor of atleast 4" thick. Any recomendations or comments will help.
Thanks
