They get a freeze, not frost in the ground, ie heaving. No need for a footer. I've poured floors 4" that cracked, and some that didn't. The 6" floors that I have poured never cracked........ Fiber is overrated. IMHO it's like the rustproofing the dealers put on new cars....revenue generators.

Then I went out the back with a rough sawn lumber lean-to. It houses mowers and blowers, trailers, tractors and Sir Gasalot the 1972 Coachmen Motor Home.... There's a variety of projects in progress at any given time, but the most space is taken by the Rovers......(1962 and two basket cases...
