Help me spend ~$60 at HF?

Gift cards are from recall of jackstands. But I bought another set elsewhere.

Help me spend ~$60 at HF?

I've actually got 2, presumably inexpensive, multimeters. One does get used occasionally. What do I get by upgrading?

Help me spend ~$60 at HF?

Fair enough...they do have bigger discounts sometime. And I would be more than happy to buy something on sale! I guess I'm thinking about what I should be eyeing. If there is something more expensive I might eye - you are right - it might make sense to wait until it's on sale.

Help me spend ~$60 at HF?

Which ones are those? I'm not in the habit of using gloves when I should...but I should be. Not really with shipping. Not too many of the deals are more than $7 off, especially if it's not that expensive to begin with. Which ones? Are the cheap $3 or $4 for a set acceptable? Thanks for all...

Help me spend ~$60 at HF?

So I'm sitting on ~$60 of HF gift cards, and I'm trying to figure out what to spend it on. I NEVER go in person, so I'm looking for ways to spend that and get relatively good value for my money. What would you suggest? I've got a decently large, inherited, set of tools with most being 40...

Swapping winter tires on Rims/rotate tires - What do I need?

Wait, does that mean I need a nail gun too? ;) It's true, I may decide to do more with better tools, but I'm not sure I'm both cheaper and more efficient (of my time) than a shop especially given the mess and/or ability to screw up other stuff. Tires are designed to be literally done on the...

Swapping winter tires on Rims/rotate tires - What do I need?

Thankfully, I've changed a couple or more tires on the side of the road. My question was about how to make it more pleasant/reliable. Not about whether I could do it.

Swapping winter tires on Rims/rotate tires - What do I need?

I'm not sure I understand why. Seems like it has less leverage (~10 inches though two handed) and the leverage is applied farther from the lug nut (~ 10 inches again). Is it the two handed setup? the ability to spin the lug nut off after cracking it? the lack of any play from the socket to...

Swapping winter tires on Rims/rotate tires - What do I need?

Thanks for all the replies (apparently, it ate one of mine). 1) Impact wrench vs breaker bar. I think I'll try it one or two seasons without the impact, and then see - I can then roll an impact wrench purchase in with a drill upgrade if I want it, or get a corded one. 2) I did see that the...

Swapping winter tires on Rims/rotate tires - What do I need?

That makes sense. - The impact wrench is a pleasant luxury. Would a corded one for $40 not be worth it? https://www.harborfreight.com/12-in-Heavy-Duty-Electric-Impact-Wrench-61173.htm If I go the breaker bar route, I can always use my cordless drill and socket adapter for low torque...

Swapping winter tires on Rims/rotate tires - What do I need?

Thanks for all the replies. - Strong support for a cordless impact wrench. Perhaps $ well spent. - That is wrench not driver, right? - I have a cordless drill that gets more use and is up for replacement (new nicad batteries are more than a new drill) perhaps that's worth coordinating...

Swapping winter tires on Rims/rotate tires - What do I need?

After being fed up with the wait and hassle of going somewhere to change snow tires, I decided I'd do it myself. Got separate rims for the snow tires - those are now installed. What I want to know is what do I need (or will I want) to make the spring (and subsequent winters) swaps pleasant...
