exterior paint sprayer for wood stain/protectant

Joe, I recently painted my house with the larger brother of that sprayer. I wanted a longer hose, better gun, and ability to cart around 5 gallon buckets. After spraying I back-rolled to even out the finish and make sure any later corrections did not stand out. Remember to keep a wet edge...

    Table saw review thread....

If I were getting portable, I would go Bosch, I just think they are better engineered. For a cabinet saw, probably Powermatic or a big sliding table from Felder. Or SawStop if you really value your fingers, (cool youtube vids as well).

Big fan of lenox carbide tipped, recommended by Chris Schwarz. Spendy, but they last.

Loved that bandsaw when I had it. Threw out the blade that came with it, though. Found the mobile base was overpriced, but really handy. Dust collection was a mandatory for me, and works well with that saw, oh, and the riser is an expensive hunk of metal, but required if you want to increase...

Torx Plus Tamper aka 5 point torx

Never had the need to use them, nor have I seen one in the wild, but I do not turn a wrench for a living, just fix or upgrade some things that I can do myself on one euro and one Japanese car. I would buy a set of sockets/bits to do a job if I came across it, but not otherwise.

If you are talking about the wrench racks, they look like these: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005ZJ0ONE/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Looking for WW clamps

I started out with Bessey K-bodies, but have since moved to these: http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?p=70618&cat=1,43838 I know that they are above what you are looking to spend, but I'd figure I'd mention them as I went down the low-cost route in the beginning and would have saved...

Re: Primarily a woodworker, but turn the occasional wrench Thanks. I was beating myself up after having missed a Matco 6S for $2500 the week before. Now if I could just find a matching top box and some extra drawer slides for the 2 lower drawers for a semi-reasonable price. Here's another...

    looking for a tool

Wonder if something like this might help out. Just a wild a$$ guess, metal work is not my expertise. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0086GU5HI/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Best tool for pinewood derby?

Concur with the bandsaw. They can be costly for a good model, might want to see if anyone in the troop already has one. A circular saw on parts that small is a great way to lose fingers or worse. A jigsaw would work, but I would find a great way to clamp down the piece, though the cut may be...

a few more drawers... The last few drawers. I am actually looking for a service cart to put most of my auto-specific tools into so I can fit the rest of my woodworking hand tools, (chisels, rasps, etc) into the macsimizer. I have been downsizing my garage for the last few years and have a bit...

Primarily a woodworker, but turn the occasional wrench Hello GJ members. Been lurking for a few months, (not a cheap forum to follow...) and figured this would be a good introduction. I am primarily a woodworker, (hobbyist), but turn the occasional wrench for fun/to save $ on simple things I...

    Transporting a KRL 761/791 Combo

Besides what has already been mentioned, I would put something over the top corners and edges, (between the ratchet strap and your box) to spread the force of your ratchet straps over a wider area, something as simple as a scrap piece of corner trim would do the trick. I had success with this...
