Mr.Lemons, Thanks for the write-up, enjoyed that. I got a set of Hazet 600N's last year and must admit to being very happy with them. Regarding your question about them slipping over a 1mm undersize hex whereas the S-W does not, could this be due to different geometries of the two companies'...

Thanks for the pics! Looks amazing... I would have a catastrophic wallet failure in there I'm afraid. :shocking:

You'll get a nasty surprise on your next order... limit has been reduced to zero $... very nasty. A drop-shipping service gets around it but is a hassle. The worst thing is not the 10% tax, it is the fact that many vendors now refuse to ship to AU because of it.

Just back from my holidays, thanks to those who suggested places to find tools in Austria but time and logistics precluded any decent shopping expeditions. I did manage a visit to a 'Hornbach', which was not unlike a Bunnings here in Oz although it's always interesting to see the different...

Hi, I'm currently visiting Austria and was wondering if anyone can recommend any tool shops to visit with a nice selection of old world hand tools? I would be looking between Vienna and Linz, and perhaps a bit later around Amsterdam or to the south of there ? Cheers OD Sent from my D5833...

Awesome. Sadly, they would probably be stolen in <24hrs in Australia.

Got my order from Amazon.jp via DEJAPAN to get around the recently imposed geoblock to AU. I got a set of Ko-ken 3/8 drive nut grip sockets and hold function inhex sockets, plus a 34mm 1/2" socket. Very nice!

Nice Keiba pliers, I am extremely happy with the range of Pro-Hobby pliers I got earlier this year. Seeing those pics make me want some, but I already upgraded my normal size cutters to some Knipex earlier on and can't fault them. Knowing what I know now I would go Keiba for any pliers/cutters...

Haha, touché! My 1/4 drive (+random other) drawer. The doubled up Wera sets are because the first one arrived with an imperial set in a metric box, so they (rapidonline - good service!) just sent another.... = win! :bounce: I generally like my Wera stuff but the fit of the sockets in the 1/4"...

Thanks, maybe Reed Prince can confirm when he's around next. The KTC BD10 does appear to have the female 1/4" socket in the end but is similar in style to the Koken: https://ktc.jp/catalog/index-category/category-list/bd10 I'd like the Nepros equivalent, or a Wera or Wiha handled one, or...

Can someone confirm this about the 1/4" female square drive in the end of the handle? From the photos it is not clear as this is the only one of the end: eg: This might be a pic of the end of the sutbby version which has no hex bolster and perhaps no 1/4 drive either? I have something...

These days if it don't say where it's made, then more than likely it is China! :)

I am in the process of my first purchase via a buying agency (or whatever they are called) in order to get around the geoblocks put in place when AU brought in some new tax law last month. Both Amazon.jp and Rakuten Global stopped shipping to AU, so I thought I would try this other option, I am...

I bought the Hugs'n'Kisses a chainsaw for her birthday... such a romantic aren't I? She'd had one of those 2-stroke Chinese mini chainsaws (for pruning etc) of which are sold in a multitude of non-brands all over the place. I decided on the 36V Stihl MS160T arborists saw with the lightest...

I did a job in the shed this evening and found for the first time I needed a 34mm socket - I have a few in 32mm and recently bought myself a Koken 4400M-36. Unfortunately since that time our federal government has brought in some really regressive tax laws which aim to collect 10%GST on imports...
