A hack for this is.
Pull the plastic cap off the lock bar, cut the lock bar off flush with the housing.
then take the piece you cut off and insert it into the plastic cap and save it.
now when you close the lid it won’t lock the drawers, but if you want to latch the drawers just push the plastic...

Hands down it’s the forks for the tractor loader and the pallet jack. I can pick up pallets for free, and now everything can be put up in racks, moved around the shop, and loaded & unloaded from the truck or trailer Easily.
