As others mentioned they look just like the carlyle and channellock wrenches. I have some of both they are pretty good. I like them, however if something is really corroded or torqued and you have to use the open end it will spread. Will depend on the pricing.
I think channellock set that...
They are fine for most people. They have the same issues all cheaper wrenches have. The open end width is too big to account for cheaper pig iron metal they use. The open ends tend to spread with a lot of force. The beams are too wide near box end etc etc. They will work for anything not too...
Chrome sockets definitely will crack and break from impact use. I have done it multiple times. When you are using or misusing/abusing tools in that way its already understood that you are not using it correctly. I did it because at the time any impact socket wouldn't fit due to clearance issues...
They are fine. I have some cheaper ones from them and northern tool in larger sizes. Impact sockets are consumeable. If you use them enough theyre gonna warp/swell up anyways even higher quality brands. Far as label coming off they will eventually yes. Just stamp/etch the size on there, write it...
Agree with previous statements. Hopefully they make them better. Dasco punches AND chisels are junk. Same or worse than cheapeast imports quality.
HD has mayhew around me. They are good. They are not the same as the Mayhew PRO ones, not same quality. Decent for the price.
Just giving my opinion. Its very dependent on your personal preference, also the kind of work you do. Just like anything else. Just giving a different perspective. My work wont apply to what many of you do or use them for and thats fine. I dont sell any tools never have. Another thing not worth...
I have a few of the so deadblow ball peen hammers. Never use them. If i need a deadblow I use a soft face deadblow or soft faced punch. Otherwise, I use a real hammer. 4lb drilling hammers probably my most used, followed by various sized ball peens.
Long story short, I dont care for those so...
I would get regular combination/angle wrenches and modify/cut them as needed. You can always make them work. Slugging wrench is what it is harder to modify except to grind box end thinner for a tight spot. Sometimes you need offset slugging wrenches as well. Also you'll find once in a while you...
