I have a couple gas powered pounders and a hydraulic one- skid steer mounted. That said, I’ve heard ones like those posted above work well and you don’t have to worry about maintenance on a gas powered rig.
Miller 211 is a very capable machine for your needs. I believe Hobart offer a comparable machine, but not an inverter that is well regarded. The Miller’s ability to run on 120V may be an advantage for you. HTP is also worth a look. I’m not sure what they are offering currently. Good luck!
My $ .02- I would want a set of vintage Proto 500 combination wrenches in standard and metric. They are just nice looking wrenches. I have current production Proto’s and a couple sets of Blackhawk’s. Both are plenty good. My grandfather had a collection of Plumbs and Challengers that I...
I once heard a guy say, “why do you need a hammer with two flat faces?” I use a cross peen regularly as a “welding” hammer. Shaping metal whether at an anvil or otherwise, they are handy. I’ve got hammers of all kinds and have come to reach for a cross peen regularly.
Pat,

I’ll throw another option in- pipelinerscloud carbon fiber with either an eagle vision or arc one lense. If you’re welding outside, I’d recommend a pancake hood and either lense. FWIW, I also have speedglass and a Hobart. No complaints with either of these.
