    Welcome Home Fellas…

Sorry, I may have missed something but is garagejournal no longer on Tapatalk? Is it just off of it right now or is there another similar app that we need to use now? Thanks

So My Wife Asked The Unthinkable....

I’m very lucky that my wife fully supports my shop needs. She hardly ever questions tool purchases, even when I buy tools AFTER I’ve completed a job. You know how that goes. You do a job and learn it would have been a hell of a lot easier if you had X tool and you swear you won’t ever be in...

Tools you should have bought long ago but didn't

Deadblow ball peen hammer. Can’t even explain what a true joy it is to hammer on stuff without the shock of actual hammering. Autel TS508 So nice to take care of TPMS sensors at home. You can read, program and active by copying from existing sensors of program a new set using the ODBII cord.

Agreed! I was helping my bud install new brake lines on his Chevy Avalanche and it was one of these wrenches - the only wrench, that allowed me to get in between the frame and the body to tighten a line. Ever since, I’ve been looking for a set. I’m sure they’ll stay shiny for a long time...

    Nitrile glove source?

Go to Tractor Supply, Rural King, Farm and Fleet, or any other one of these one off country type stores and go straight to their livestock section, specifically where they have medication. You’ll always find Amish Mechanic gloves, at least that’s what I call them - you know the gloves that you...

I didn’t. That was just a pic for everyone to see what I used. I paid $9 for a one pound Jetboil canister at Bass Pro Shops.

The snap on torch has a butane port on the bottom. Just buy this adapter and a fuel canister to fill it.

Offset ramps on 4 post lift

My BendPak HD9-B (regular height but extra wide) is built like that. Comes in handy being able to slide the right ramp to whatever width is needed.

Snap on Torch 400. It’s a butane torch but I’m running fuel from a Jetboil camping fuel canister that has isobutane/propane so it burns a lot hotter.

Dash Knob Removal Tools - escutcheon tools

Is there a part number on the yellow handle?

who makes the smallest head 8mm wrench?

Check out a brand called Park Tool. They make great quality tools for bikes and will have flat wrenches that are even flatter than what you need. Having said that, if it was me, I’d go buy a wrench at HF and then just grind the head to fit the application.

    Hunter tire machine

Google your machine’s model number so you can find an operators and a service manual. This way you’ll also have the part numbers for any part you ever need to replace. That’s what I did for my COATS machines.
