Take the dead battery packs to a Batteries Plus store and have them replace the individual cells with new ones.

If they're from the USA it's kinda like the old American cars in Cuba. Worth more in America but not easy to get here. By the time they're shipped and new Asian vises are sourced there isn't much profit.

I was looking at the Hercules, it'll be at $300 during the tent sale next month. Then I checked this thread. Turns out Lowes has the Dewalt DWS799 for $350 until the end of the month. I used my Lowes card, $354 out-the-door (even rhymes). Genuine Dewalt 12" CMS for $350, that was a no-brainer.
