    iron worker rebuild

Thank you very much for all the information. I will need to use heat to get most of this piece of machinery apart so I might as well use it to burn off some paint. This Iron worker has been neglected and over painted with all different types of material so this will be a real chore. Thanks again

To those who have skim-coated OSB

You can always just thin the mud down a little and roll it on with a heavy nap roller. Then while it is wet take your 12 or 16 inch knife and pull off the excess mud. I have done this many times and it is easier on your body. Use a 9 inch pad with at least a 1inch nap. Lamb skin not synthetic...

    Square Edge Drywall

I agree completely. I have hung alot of sheet rock and that is a waste of money. When you tape those joints, they will crack. There isn't enough backing there to keep the rock from moving.

    must-have tool

Re: must have tool Multimeter, vise, safety glasses and a camera. Not the most obvious choices but they have all saved me plenty of times.

    Textured walls?

The way that Outlaw described is great but make sure your drywaller does a good job. Level 4 or 5 on the walls. The high gloss paint will show every imperfection in your drywallers work.
