    When to stain?

A couple old pictures I have of my shop... First one is the outide. You can see the enclosed portion under the lean-to. Here is an old shot from the inside when i was still building. I have since closed in the one wall to the left of the orange water cooler, so the room as 3 closed in walls...

    When to stain?

Thanks for all the replies. I did just build a house a few years ago, and I know how messy it gets! As for the stain, I am going with Legacy's Easy Stain & Easy Sealer. I am doing all my own work, so I think I can be pretty careful not to damage the finish if I go ahead and stain/seal. It...

    When to stain?

My shop is about 4 years old now. When I built it, I closed in a 20x20 area under one of my lean-to's. My plan has always been to finish it out as a office/living quarters for guests. Well, I am finally getting to that point, and im kinda confused about when to stain my floor. My gut tells me...

    My Texas Dream Garage

That makes good sense. You just reinforced my idea of attaching sheathing to the purlins first, then 2x4 stud walls, then my interior wall covering. Another question, I saw a pic of your window a/c unit. I was thinking of permanantly installing one like that, but what if you have to replace it...

    My Texas Dream Garage

Very nice Nighttrain! I am fixing to start on a room in my shop as well....20'x20'. I have a few questions.... For you office, Im wondering how you did your 2x4 stud walls that where up against the metal purlins. Is there anything that separates the two, like OSB sheathing, or is it just open...

Accupro Customer Service T8 ballasts WOW!!!

I bought my 4 bulb, 8' fixtures for Lowes, and they have Sylvania ballasts. I called Sylvania, and they dont want to help. I have 6 fixtures, and lots of RF! I wonder if the Accupro will work with my fixtures? Im sure they will, as I am sure the fixtures are probably made in the same place.

    steel building components

Depends on where you live. I live out in the country, in kind of a secluded area. So if it was me, I would try and get a good deal on the structure, and buy 26ga. tin & trim from a dealer (Mueller INC. has a office in New Mexico, not sure how far you are from NM), and put it all together...

    My All Metal 24x30 Build

 My truss design was a bit unconventional, but they work. I built mine the same way you did....I figured all my lengths, and ordered as components. 2-7/8 Drill Stem... 14'x14' Doors......I had to build a spreader bar, and lift mine from the top of the trusses with a come-along...

    My All Metal 24x30 Build

Looks great! and what a turnaround!! 7 days....Good for you. One question though? Why only one rollup door? It's going to get HOT in there in the summer with no way for the air to circulate! It's not too late to put a ridge vent on there either. They make a world of difference. One...

Harbor Freight 13 drawer tool boxes $271.99

I should have gone Saturday, but I was too busy. I went Sunday after church, and I called before I left. The young girl told me there where 2 left. I told her I was on my way to pick one up, and she told me that she would get one ready. My wife and I made the hour drive, and stopped for...
