Bonsoir Drivesit and sorry for the super late reply. come back safely from my travel. i was in france near the "lac Léman" on the swiss border under a tick snow fall. absolutely unequipped for the alps condition with my van and standard road tires !
i am not going collect tools or garage...
Bonsoir Drivesit and all guys. glad to hear you Drivesit and sorry for this long silence but even we are limited here i have massive work and not time for tools/antique research ! we are now close to 1 year restriction life and think our life will probably be different after this health/economy...
glad to hear you drivesit. i am very happy with this modification because i need the moving possibility but i do not like to see wheels so the time to made worth the result : i can move it with one hand, and the wheels are invisible so the look is really massive. of course the floor need to be...
Hi guys. Some news of the retractable wheels project. I ordered very small 30mm diameter wheels guaranted for 120kgs per wheel. Very small tolerance so hope they will do the job.

Drivesit : do you have some infos on the "black japan" paint finish ? seem to be use on old vises. only info in english and not sure but look different that conventional paint. impossible to find any part of original color on the 34 so want to switch on black.
merci Monsieur !
Tool scrounge thanks for the link, glad to see parts of this beauty are still made : sound like a successful vise ! however i don't really need the pipe jaws and at 141usd for so simple parts made in taiwan i prefer machine them !
Drivesit yes i am very lucky from some months with old vises. i...
