i want that dark wet concrete look. something i can weld on, spill oil and fuel on and just be able to wipe it up without leaving a stain.
floor was just poured today and they power trowed it for hours. it is pretty smooth.
any sugestions?
remember this? now it is my store room. that room is 11' x 24'
and here is a shot of the future man room. this room is 16' x 36'
my wall guys came back and fixed up the wall. grass is coming up nice except where the wall guys trampeled it.
and what is this? part of a floor:bounce...
i feel a little guilty whoring up this thread but since the op hasn't even been on the site in 3 months i dont think he will mind if we waste a little more bandwidth.
clark 110 mig
clark 220 mig, something like a 180turbo en
lincoln precision 185 tig
definately not a pro but i get by and have...
now you can go re read his post. he didn't say he wanted to weld aluminum. he was asking what it will take to weld aluminum. here is the quote "also if iwant to weld stainless or aluminum can i get ss or aluminum flux? or do i have to buy the correct wire and gas for each app and do i need a...
lol, now your saying if you dont spend the big bucks you are going to die.
my problem with this thread an you two guys is your not able to look at more than one side of the story. not everyone is a profesional welder and not everyone needs to be able to weld any material continuasly.
will he...
the slightest bit? sure, i would say i know a slight bit about it. i can stick two things together but have always hired a pro when i want something done right(and pretty). aluminum is tuff and i dont think i will ever be good enough at it to be of any use unless i take a class or two. i cut...
ok, i give up. you guys are right.
there is no way the op can get by with anything less than a 220v name brand welder. just cough up the $600.:) and another $200 to have an outlet put in your garage.
for that matter you better just get the gas, spool gun, $200 auto darkening helmit and go take...
haha, ok. having a place to plug your welder in has nothing to do with portability. sure you can carry it all over town but it wont do you much good if you cant make it work.
i agree anyone that is going to do any real work with their welder should get a name brand 220v unit. spend the money...
a pic would be nice. i am sure these guys can help you with your welding. something not related to the welding is how much force there is an a clutch, especialy if you have an after market presure plate of some kind.
if you just have a metal tab welded on one side with the cable going thru it...
i see you have welder in your name. makes me think you weld for a living, if that was my trade i would have nothing but the best too. its easy to just tell someone to go buy a $600+ machine but for what he says he will be doing a cheap unit would get the job done nicely.
we have a couple of other turbo projects you might have seen around. one is a budget boosted fairmont with a mostly stock 5.3 chevy truck motor. the other is a twin turbo 03 silverado that is low 10's and 1000+rwhp. sold the truck to build the garage but maybe you have heard of it. can't wait to...
