    An APO Update

Genuinely surprised desiccant packs did that much, they're as good as if coated with oil.

let's see your craftsman block grinders

I've only lurked for years but I'm still so happy about finding this 1/2 hp from the 70s at an estate sale yesterday that it would be wrong to not post it here. The owner took great care of it, and afaik he's still around, just purging most of his stuff. It runs great, now to get a wire wheel...

    Attila's Workshop

The double negatives make it start off sounding like a complaint but I think all he's saying is "why don't we start a thread featuring cool videos like this so they're easy to find" JP

Need recommendation on vise and stand setup

Sure you don't want to mount it to a work bench? When you have to bend something in the vise or hold a piece to be wrenched or worked on, that grinder stand will probably move too much even bolted down. Maybe not though. Though I do wish I had a stand like that (or an original Craftsman one)...

    Garage tunes

I'm always on the lookout for a sweet Marantz like that but the classic stereo guys move fast on them here. What kind of speakers do you use with it? JP

    Veeps' Garage

Re: The Little Vintage Garage. I can't believe how good that foil print looks, now I feel encouraged to refinish my block grinder.

Pros/Cons of shop attached to house

I know at least half the members on here daydream about making a tunnel on their property, someone must have done it by now. If we can just get somebody to admit to it! JP

Vintage Metal Kitchen Cabinets - good idea?

Can't think of a downside, and those rounded corners are cool. JP

Lets talk DIRTY.... and how to get clean!

I love Dr. Bronner's, though my eyes can no longer read the manifesto that mentions Mark Spitz and the word 'dilute!' over and over! Trader Joe's sells it in bar form now which helps from using it up too fast. JP

    Very Upset With Harbor Freight....

I'm kind of liking that lime-green rule someone mentioned early in the thread. Best thing I've gotten from HF is the sanding station (green!) - the only downside is you have to remove a dozen screws to change the paper, so you end up leaving that metal off.

    Need help with garage layout

Looks like the best option at first is a long bench between that door and water heater, could divide off the water heater w pegboard walls & make one swing out or removable. Are there any windows?
