    electrical I may have missed

I didn’t read all the comments above, sorry. However I think you should consider a drop cord on the ceiling. On a retractable spool. Keep the cords off the floor. I don’t have one but I wish I did.

Opinions on how to best price Atlanta house with amazing attached cooled/heated 3000sqft garage?

House purchases are a lot like buying a single stock out of a universe of thousands. Might get lucky. I did. It’s not an efficient market. Diligence will be rewarded but when? Reading the various replies above doesn’t get you any closer to the sale you’re looking for. Hard work. Maybe pay an...

Opinions on how to best price Atlanta house with amazing attached cooled/heated 3000sqft garage?

OP, You’ve received excellent advice above. My one additional data point is this. Here in Montana there was a house comparable to yours but with a horse barn. The barn also was in the same ballpark for size and cost. Owner wanted top dollar and was willing to be patient. Well the house...

    Aint much.. but

Over the years, I’ve learned the value of patina. As others have said, I’d try not to change the current beauty just to update the electrical service. Even the roof is worth saving. Conceal improvements so as to maintain the ambience. Beauty before function. It’s 100 years old for goodness sake.

    A spoking tragedy.

OP. I have spoke blanks in my garage. Some would be appropriate length and thickness that they could be cut and threaded to your specific needs. I live in small town Montana and we have this available. You’d not be using your current spokes. PS: I also thought about small festive condoms...

Well, I don’t think you got the point. This is a forum whereby newbies can learn from polite responses. Unless you think otherwise? Let it go. Thanks again a great weblog. I’m not an expert in GJ.

What did the bowling alley counter top cost if I may ask?

    A spoking tragedy.

My bike shop could cut the spokes off as desired. They can thread spokes as well. Cost is about $1.00 per. So basically any spoke of correct diameter can be cut to spec. I’ve used this method often. Same problem with bike wheels as motor cycle. (I think)

Real estate improvement and out pricing the neighborhood with a new metal building

Great thread. If you’re going to build a garage, why not make it two story with smaller workshop above. A compromise that would help with auto storage yet scratch the itch for sheltered indoor workings. Cost for second floor not twice vs one story. Small but efficient use of space. Work outside...

    Fuel Oil Who Burns It?

Carbon monoxide is a real danger with any combustion device. Wood stove user I know had this problem twice. Look up long term effects of CO exposure. Memory loss big time, death also but memory loss if you die. CO monitor could help but best is prevention. I wouldn’t be too cavalier. I never...

Help! I'm stuck on the ice, any DIY emergency tire chains?

Chain up is quick if you can anticipate your needs. In that case put them on while in a dry flat area such as a garage. Or just before entry to the deep snow but again while on dry land. Much easier when you need to get under your vehicle.
