I've not been here for long, but I think I can offer a different perspective... I was working full time for a monster truck team a couple of years ago. We had a custom built 54 inch box. It was a classic 78 with the top box welded to it. It was a beautiful setup, wish I had pictures of it...

The top and bottom boxes are el dorado's and the intermediate 3 drawer box is a century. The century is a touch wider, but they seem to have the same depth, tho they seem to have the same outsside dimensions...
