Got a link? I searched and found it for $16.50 at Bestworkstore.com. Haven't heard of them before.

Humidity control: what to do first?

Increasing airflow doesn’t work if all that air is coming from the outside. If you just recirculate inside air then the humidity doesn’t go anywhere. You need a big dehumidifier/HVAC system. And even that won’t work well if the space isn’t well sealed because of outside air coming in.

    Quickjack stuck in up position...Rust?

I have two. Great mid rise lifts. Only downside is they are heavy and can be fun to move around (adding wheels is a must). Watch their videos before using and follow the instructions!

Can you have too much torque reversing a bolt out? If you do what happens?

I’ve heard a rumor that if you tighten a stuck bolt just a hair first then loosen it tends to help break it free. All done without a power tool of course.

    Quickjack stuck in up position...Rust?

I only had that happen once, with a car on it. Turned out the return hose got pinched under the QJ. Maybe something is blocking the return line? QJ says to not raise them all the way without weight on them. Have you called them yet? I have an early 5000, garage kept, and it works fine.

    Humidity issues

I have two three ton units. Load calcs call for one three ton (actually a tad less). The adjustments that have made should get it to stop short cycling and run longer.

    Humidity issues

Blower door was 2820 CFM@50 Pascals (prior to sealing up a large leak at the fireplace), 6 ACH. Crawl space is sealed and dehu set at 50%. Don't remember the discharge temp (it's been checked, tech didn't mention anything abnormal. Right now, I would be happy with 50% with what I have. We'll...

    Humidity issues

A quick update. Started learning more about HVAC and found a couple local home quality pros (along with a few online ones) and have been making progress. Had a Manual J done (thanks for the input folks) and oversized is an understatement. I have two three ton units and I only need one three ton...

Difference between distilled and deionized water for auto use?

Hadn’t heard that before. DI is big in the detailing community, never a mention of erosion issues. Where can I get more info on this?

Electric lawnmowers in 2026 - any good?

I started out with the HF Atlas pusher and 4 years later it’s still working fine. Cheap mower but batteries are expensive (they go on sale about once a year).

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

Picked up some batteries today (Hercules and Atlas). Atlas ones don’t go on sale often.

Seems like a nightmare to pack up an entire garage. When is the last time you moved (your entire tools & garage) ?

Hopefully the buyers will take the garage stuff with the house. I can get new stuff (or not). I watched a neighbor load up a rolling tool box into his pickup and start rolling. Box shifted aft then he braked and said box countered by rolling forward and taking out his back window. Don’t be that...

Washing cars in garage... waterproof paint or plastic curtain?

I do rinseless washes in the garage. No overspray. Just need to mop the floor when done.
