This Is My Two Post Lift Thread. There Are Many Like It, But This One Is Mine.

It's been a while I know. Late 2023, shortly after that last post of mine, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Prostate cancer. They started me right away on hormone therapy to deny the cancer the testosterone it needs to grow and I spent the summer of 2024 in Houston at MD Anderson going...

This Is My Two Post Lift Thread. There Are Many Like It, But This One Is Mine.

I have cut the concrete and begun busting it out in order to pour a new, thicker pad for the lift. After about 30 minutes doing that I thought to myself, "screw this" and hired two guys off of Craigslist to come do it on Sunday Dec 4. Concrete will be delivered and poured on Wednesday Dec 7...

Is there any difference between the 10 and 20 gal California Air Compressors beside the tank capacity?

Generally speaking, the duty cycle on a larger tank model is higher so that it can run the longer recovery times necessary without straining it. For nail guns, and other small pneumatic tools a lower duty cycle is fine. For things like painting, and running your plasma cutter, you will need...

Torn between main door options on a 30x50 (two smaller vs one huge)

As I said, I live in Colorado, but when I'm not in my shop, my "real job" is as a software security architect for Kohl's. My "office" is in Menominee Falls Wi. and when I was in the Navy I spent a lot of time in Lake Geneva. Summer and winter; so I know Wisconsin and love that area. My wife and...

    AMGO OHX-10H Lift review/install

I just bought the Olympic 2PBPXW-10, which is a baseplate 10,000# Extra Wide 2 post lift. It was delivered last Wednesday and I will be installing it soon. I paid $3852 for mine, shipped to my house. That includes the truck adapters and heavy-duty frame cradles. I hadn't run across the AMGO...

    Compressor Not Starting - Buzzing

Ooohhh You gotta snag that! The motor will be about $350 to replace and you'll need a new magnetic starter for it. I still have the 3-phase motor that came off of mine. Apparently they are pretty hard to sell. I imagine that people who need a nice used 3-phase motor are a pretty small group...

    Compressor Not Starting - Buzzing

I have the 80 gallon Champion compressor too. Mine came with a 3-phase motor and I replaced it with a 5HP single-phase Baldor motor and a new magnetic starter box. It's been working fine for five years. I bought the Lefoo pressure switch with unloader but my compressor didn't need the unloader...

    Compressor Not Starting - Buzzing

90% of the time a failure to start / buzzing / humming until it trips the breaker is a bad capacitor. I'd replace that (those) first before worrying about the switch. The capacitors are cheap and do wear out, so if you replace them, it still doesn't work, and you end up needing to replace the...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Yellow Yamaha themed shop

Was I your buddy? I got a 1973 Yamaha GT80 when I was nine. it looked like this one, but new; and it had a headlight, tail light and blinkers. Edit: I found a better picture...

Torn between main door options on a 30x50 (two smaller vs one huge)

That's funny. It's interesting to me how you Canadians think it is "reasonably cold" in the winter. I have been to Ottawa in Feb/March and it's CUSSWORDINGLY COLD. I live in the mountains of Colorado and own a Canada Goose coat that is much too hot to wear 99% of the time here, but I NEEDED it...

You might want to tell this guy that he got a new motor and not a refurbished one, because he says it is refurbished right here in his video : Since his installation video is the one you featured on your website, people take him at his word.

This Is My Two Post Lift Thread. There Are Many Like It, But This One Is Mine.

My new lift was delivered last Wednesday! There are signs on each side saying not to lift with forks from the side. Apparently those signs are universally ignored, because it had clearly been handled from the sides. it came on a flatbed truck and was obviously loaded from the side, the same...

Buying a new Sub Compact Utility Tractor

ALWAYS get a bigger tractor than you think you will need. And "amen" what FTG-05 just said ☝️ I have a 2015 Branson 3520H. Branson was Kukje, which is now TYM because TYM acquired Kukje a couple years ago. I love my Branson. It is a hairy-chested tractor that has served me well. We are...
