Yeah, I got tons of respect for the guys who do this every day. I got the circuits tied in and instantly found the 2 thickest pieces of steel in the shop to glue together (both over .5"). Really happy to have this capability again. This also reminded me I need to do maintenance on the 'ol...
Here are a few more of the new circuits going in. I pulled both sets of conductors together, but had to split the overall length in half in order to get it done.
I'm finally getting around to posting about electrical upgrades, doing a few 50A 240v receptacles for the large welder and a 20A 240v drop for the air compressor in the closet.
Took the family out on a wheelin' trip to the Iron Range in MN over Labor Day weekend. The buggy did great until it broke catastrophically, which tends to happen when you're doing it right.
Well no electrical upgrades yet, but been pretty busy in the shop. Dealt with the biggest PITA starter job known to man, and doing some upgrades on the buggy including a long over due 4 core radiator. Also moved the projector outside temporarily to enjoy some outdoor football. And I would...
I had the buggy out over Memorial weekend, it did great. Unfortunately I don't have any good pics/footage of my rig. Also, I finally pulled the trigger on the electrical upgrade parts, so more to come on that soon.
Nope not small, they sure are handy though.
I am making some slow progress on the live edge console table. I got the legs cleared after welding and working on sanding/finishing the slab. I also mounted a live edge shelf in the bar for the shot glasses I tend to acquire whenever I travel somewhere.
Such a cool build! It has some similarities to my shop, and you mentioned above wanting to incorporate wood into the final ceiling design. So, I attached a few pictures of how ours ceiling is finished out, maybe it will help with your decision?
I got the mantle finished and put into place permanently. I also included a few pics of the legs I'm making for the console table that's also being made out of a live edge slab of red oak.
