    HF 12" compound miter saw?

The Dewalt non-sliding 12" miter saw looks to be only about $25 more expensive. ...oh heck, it looks like a 12" non-slider will only do a 7.5" cut. Never mind.

    SK from amazon

Given their return policy, I wouldn't worry about it. They really are good about that. The only problem I would have with ordering this stuff is that the prices are 2x what they were when I ordered few SK sets. They used to be a smoking deal, not so much now.

The one tool never to cheap out on?

    #2 Phillips screwdriver.

Tool truck brands in the future.

My best guess (and worth every penny) is that you'll just see a drop in the need for manual tool use in local repair of any kind. Obviously, the TV and shoe repairman are largely gone, cars will follow eventually. Local repair would consist more and more of simply pulling off a large component...

Tool truck brands in the future.

Given that the interest is simply built into the cost, buying stuff online via a credit card is essentially the same thing as 'interest-free' truck purchase.

So what do people in china use for tools?

My best guess is that it's a temporary circumstance. Automation is going to blow away most of those jobs as computers/software improve, goods are redesigned for a more automated workflow, and the ability to manipulate objects becomes more sophisticated. I wouldn't be surprised if products of...

    Spreading the Bonney affliction!

That's pretty cool, thanks for posting. You know, I'd probably be interested in that, but the shipping is always too high. You end up with a delivered price of $200+

    Good hose reel?

It's probably made from purest Chinesium.

Is this tire pressure gauge worth it?

Lotsa fancy schmancy tire gauges out there, I had no idea. I've had one of these for years and it's been fine. I have no idea if it's better or worse than any other, but it's easy to use

So what do people in china use for tools?

My understanding is that providing specs isn't enough. You need onsite QA or a really strong ability to reject shipments. The constant tendency is to cheapen the product.

Must have tools for working on BMWs

Oh well. The OP probably should have asked about Silverados instead. I'm so gobsmacked by reading about the BMW alternator bracket gasket issue that I've got nothing to add.

Interesting lingo at your place of employment

Interesting thread. My world is full of jargon, but none of it is vulgar. Dunno what the difference is.

Looking for a table saw / router combo

That's just what I was going to say. I kind of like the idea of avoiding use of a table saw. It's a bummer that track saws are as expensive as they are.
