Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

Hello, I have put a gloved finger over the nozzle, and also slipped the media feed hose off the gun, and back on again. You are correct in saying this does help a bit some times. I did still find last time I used it, just putting the blast hose into the hopper burried in media seemed to be a...

Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

I hear you. I had looked up the flow info and specs. Also communicated with orzito just a few weeks ago, who said it seemed more likely to be the blast unit, after asking what comp I was using and media. What compressor for home would be suitable please? My options would be: bunnings, mitre10...

Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

My shed the aircomp sits in is purely a garden type shed, no sealed at all. I hope to still try a water trap at the compressor end also. Do I need shorter house for more positive suction? My compressor is a recent purchase, 2.0hp, 40L, upto 200Lpm, free air 130Lpm apparently..

Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

Hello Last evening I used the sieved garnet and still have some of the same issues of nozzle blockage building up due to moisture. Moisture can be seen on the object being blasted, at times. Where I have some luck is by sitting the hopper feed hose inside the hopper, sucking the garnet until...

Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

This is my basic setup, just at home. Is that the valve with the bleeder hole where the feed hose connects to hopper?

Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

Hi, at this stage I only have a inline moisture filter. It's now sitting just before the gun. I did have it at the compressor outlet. It's a straight ---- through type. Maybe I need the T shaped one? Edit: the media just sits in the hopper, I was unsure what else to do with it. Now I'm...

Portable Sand Blaster - moisture, or new Gun

Hi group, I'm very new. I have a portable sand blaster, it works well, when it's not blocking up. It also feels like the feed tube has surges. I have to clean the nozzle every minute or two. Is there some thing else I'm missing? Thanks in advance
