    Drill indexes

I bought most of my collection from estate sales and garage sales. I filled in holes from Epstein. Seemed like decent quality bits at reasonable prices. https://www.harryepstein.com/

Do your vintage craftsman screwdrivers look like this?

I've never encountered this issue myself. Scoutcrafter and 357magdad are always prettying up tools. They may have dealt with something like these before, https://www.youtube.com/user/ScoutCrafter/videos https://www.youtube.com/@357magdad/videos

    battery chargers everywhere

Take the one out of the garage that is not tool related. (1) You should be able to match tools in garage with chargers (2) I assume you have been charging the devices you currently use . Mark the chargers somehow. (3) If there are devices you haven't used in a while but are intent on using...

Has there ever been a thread about the worst quality tools you ever saw?

I am old enough (72) to remember when "Made in Japan" was synonymous with "junk". Datsun rust buckets come to mind. The times they have been changing.

Shine a light on the back of the box. My Snap-On box has info stamped into the metal. Was hard for me to see/read without illumination.

What do you do with your included assembly tools?

    * I polish them up. Then put them with my Snap-On, Mac, Matco and Cornwell tools. Ha, ha, ha!!!! * But seriously. I generally don't use them for assembly. I keep them in a spare storage case (tucked away in an otherwise unused space).

    Throwing Away Tools

Last week, I clamped an old screwdriver's steel tightly in a vise. Tapped on the handle with a hammer and a punch made from an old ratchet handle. Took less than a minute to have the desired product in hand.

Just restored an antique grease gun

Looks like a gem!!! What did you find was the easiest way to removed the old grease? I bought a bicycle that had been stored for many, many years in AZ's heat (in a garage). Big PITA for me to deal with the rock hard, dried out grease in the bearings.
