    Mail Order Parts Cutting

I've done some work for guys looking for a lot of one off pieces, although I don't have a laser or water jet, they were ok with CNC plasma cut parts. Alot have questioned the prices I have given based off of other quotes from larger companies they have asked. I tell them all the same, I have...

    My 24 x 30 in SWPA

Made a custom wall mount setup for the computer so I didnt take up any floor space with any tables. Came out pretty decent I thought, even mixed the paint to come out close to the factory paint on the table.

    My 24 x 30 in SWPA

Been awhile since I have been able to get time to sit down and post some updates of how things are going in my garage. Since last time, I made the 1100 mile round trip to pick up my CNC Plasma table from Dan at LDR Motion Systems. I have been at it learning, cutting and tweaking things, and...

    My 24 x 30 in SWPA

Some pictures of the failed craigslist compressor. I checked this thing over quite well, bore scoped the inside, didnt really expect to find a pin hole from the looks of it when I did so. Checked it for leaks when I was at the guys house, just bad luck. The pin hole that i found after I had...

    My 24 x 30 in SWPA

It was a custom design that I did for a good friend of mine that is getting into making knives. I browsed around the internet and boy are there a ton of different designs. I just went with what I thought would be the best solution to ensure all the components would work together. Im not sure...

    Vintage Air Compressors

There will be alot of use once I get a compressor, or this one up and running. Im considering building a small two stage with the motor and pump I have on my oil less 33 gallon craftsman compressor I have now. Then buying a new 60 gallon quincy two stage. Use the small one as a back up and...

    Vintage Air Compressors

I had thought about hydro testing it, but to be honest, im counting the tank as no good. Going to look for a new tank that I can put the motor and pump on. I believe the motor to be an older dayton, but there still is the mystery of what the pump is, so as I continue to do research, I still am...

    Vintage Air Compressors

Unfortunately ran into bad news last night and found a pin hole which was turning into a crack the longer it was under pressure. So I decided to strip the tank of all components and took a closer look at the pump itself. As of now, the only number that I have found so far was on the bottom...

    Vintage Air Compressors

Just picked this compressor up. I really dont have much information on it other than I know it is a Scaife and Sons tank that was made in 1947. I have scraped and wiped to see if I could find any numbers on the pump and motor but have had no luck. Two stage pump, 60 gal tank, single phase...

    Welding cart vs cabinet -preference?

Give yourself a little room when you measure the base sizes of everything. I made mine to be about an 1/8" longer and wider than what the biggest dimensions were, ended up making the welder a tight fit.

    Welding cart vs cabinet -preference?

Nothing like the expensive welders and such, but they fit my budget and work very well for being a hobby guy. Built this cart to hold both the welder and plasma with a shelf up top for pliers and gloves and such and bottom shelf.

ISO 9001/2008 audit. What should I expect?

This is a very good sum of it overall. Documentation is one of the most important things. We get audited yearly by ISO, once every 5 years is a full audit, in between those are "maintenance" audits perse, always if you get asked a question, and do not know the answrer, look in your manuals...
