hey guys ive a snap on compressor with a 200l tank my workshop is 60 by 30 ive ran the air pipe around the walls and i was thinking of adding 2 100l air tanks at different places along the air pipe so as i dont lose pressure in the line while using airguns etc and to boost the volume of air...
2 40" roll cabs with top boxes 2 26" rollcabs with top and middle boxes 2 full height lockers for the 40" boxes and a half height locker as well and im just about out of room
had problems with warrenty before but got sorted but this time i upgraded my diagnostics and signed up a finance agreement and found out after the guy didnt put it through snap on but financed it himself and charged me 21% more than snap on charges
hey guys any had problems with snap on dealers im asking cause im having huge problems that will more than likely end up with the dealer been kicked out at the very least.
lots of good ideas guys i like the idea of a tool room i have a 15x 6 room off the main building that i use for the compressor, drill press, hyd press if i move all the equipment out there might be enough room to put the tool boxes around the walls
the worst that happened to me was a fork on a forklift fell off and crushed my thumb broke the thumb from the top joint to the tip into 27 bits went to the er and they spent 20mins picking bits of bone out of it before they could try and stop the bleeding took a year to heal and i have about 1/3...
was cutting a exhaust off a car with a gas torch while it was up on a lift ******* nut i just cut dropped down my sleeve set fire to my shirt sleeve and burnt my arm really badly and boy did i feel like a ******* for standing under it still we all have to learn the hard way.
the boxes are all snap on. the floor is 11" thick concrete the walls are 12" concrete blocks so i could bolt the boxes to the wall but that still wouldnt stop someone breaking into the drawers. ive a lot of high end stuff in the drawers and lockers so i like the idea of a steel cage to suround them.
in ireland it is impossible to insure tools i know this because in 2007 the wifes landrover went on fire and burnt the workshop to the ground i thought i had the tools insured for 100,000euro but its in the small print that you can insure equipment ie compressor, hyd press etc but not hand tools.

hey guys i want to make sure my toolboxes suddenly dont disappear one night whats the best way to secure them to the floor or wall. is it possible to fit a alarm to them?. ive two 40" rollcabs and two 26" rollcabs plus lockers on both. at the min ive them all bolted together to try and stop them...
