I was thinking the same thing - this is the only picture I've seen of one - Craftsman 4372 2-drawer Chest. Shown in the 1958 Fall - Winter Catalog.

Found this at the bottom of a tool tote I picked up today at an estate sale for a song. I guess the number is for the length because it's 4" long. Only other marking I can see is the 'Germany'. Six sided shaft.

Not sure, I don't see it stamped on the front. I do see the patent number, and found the original patent online.

After some additional searching, they apparently came both ways.

Yessir. Craftsman did the same thing, they only had 6pt combos later in the VA line, all combos before that were 12pt as far as I know. The only Easco 6pt I've found so far is a 9/16" part number 63-818 so I need to add that to the list as well.

Agreed. Not sure if the list I started is better as it's own thread or if it should continue here, but I hope we can pull a good list together.
