    Garage Door Repair

had one of the springs on our door break on 8/6. Called for emergency repair because I needed to get the vehicle out. Emergency service (same day) was $200 with another $220 for two springs. Well worth the cost. (of course couldn't have gone any where to buy springs.) And springs...

Watering restrictions? Remember when the Great Salt Lake was overflowing and the Gov installed pumps to send some of it to the west desert. But there were past watering restrictions one year then the next had plenty of water such that officials had to ask people to stop over watering because...

    linesets

Not facing replacement just yet (I hope). i was curious if they are limiting factors given where one of the linesets is buried in a wall. Builders don't build with future problems in mind. I think it i stupid to instasll windows using the flange nailing rather than fit the entire window...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT My new garage build! 30x50 !

The fridge mentioned above is a Kenmore/Fridgeaire. I have had to replace the ice maker, a thermometer in the freezer and one in the fridge section. In the very beginning we required a warranty visit. Now every once in a while the ice maker gets confused so the little fingers that eject the...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT My new garage build! 30x50 !

Some years ago in the evening I heard water rushing and looked at the fridge. Water was pouring out of the water/ice opening because the fill valve stuck open. Since then if leaving for more than a few hours I shut the house water off. Another reason for shutting off the water. Some months...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Went in the garage to go shopping. But going nowhere -- one spring on double door broken. Without Arnold S to help can't manually open the door. Just as I posted this the tech arrived. Fixed 20 year old springs that I have lubed a number of times.

    linesets

Reason for the question" one lineset is "buried" in the house framing. and would be ***** to replace. Don't figure would need to up the "tonnage" since all work well now cooling wise. From what I've red very different refrigerant is now standard.

    linesets

Not to fan the flames in the other HVAC thread! Can one upgrade the entire system/equipment from the SEER from 30 to 80 and not need to replace the line set (assuming it is in good condition)?

    Replacing the whole house HVAC

What was the SEER rating of your old system and what is the rating for your new system? And did they reuse the existing line set? Two springs ago I had the original installer of our 2006 Rheem systems check them out. He found problems with the fans, contractors and capacitors. Didn't do...

Probably a good idea to get more involved in the HOA. One thing to check out is if the HOA is funding a reserve fund to cover any future repairs/replacements for HOA owned roads, utilities etc. For example, Without a reserve fund the HOA might have to do a special assessment to repair road...

The Wales section of the BBC website had an article about a pup recovering from an adder bite. Are those around the area where you takes the girls for walks? And by the way Arlo is sure lucky to have you for a neighbor.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT My new garage build! 30x50 !

yea, many yeas ago: My Dad would splurge for a Smithfield/Virginia (?) aged/smoked ham. With some of the slices he would make red eye gravy after frying. Don't think he added coffee. But then my folks liked chicory coffee. Probably why I never developed a taste for coffee.

From my wife's family, we used ketchup for tomato gravy. Not something my side ever prepared.
