How much lighting do I need?

DEFINITELY go with the new T12 bulbs. MUCH brighter, ballasts last much longer and are cheaper. I had 20 4' T-8s and eight 8' T-8's. Bought a case of 4' and 8' ballasts on Ebay and a case of each size T-12 bulbs from Bulbs.com. As the old ballasts fail, I swap them over to the T12. HUGE...

Snap on's new cordless CTS561 screwdriver

I love mine. It gets used nearly every day. My favorite thing is the rocker switch. Top tightens, bottom loosens. Beats heck out of a switch that has to be pressed.

    Officially Licensed Snap-On ???

There is no questioning that the quality of MAC, Snap-On, etc is far above the box stores...especially nowdays. I have a bunch of Craftsman tools that I bought when I was a kid or inherited from my Dad. Most are 40+ years old. WORLDS of difference in what you buy today. Just remember the...

    Central KY Garage build 48 x 30.

VERY nice shop! You'll love the rotary lift. It's top of the line and you don't have to worry about it falling down while you're under it. Some things you don't want to save money on. On the 7' door, rather than a major change, consider replacing the sectional with a roll up like this: The...

Getting water to the new garage, ideas?

I agree, put a frost proof faucet (farm faucet) in the slab. When the power is off, you can make sure the faucet is closed and drain the above ground lines so things don't freeze. When you pour your slab make sure the floor drain will actually drain. When I put in my lift room extension, I...

"Denied" at Variance Hearing - Detached Garage too tall.

Man, that *****. Hopefully the building association will join your team. I like the idea of getting a lawyer to inform them that you will be complying and they will receive a bill for the cost. Keep VERY detailed notes of every conversation and communication. Make sure you get the name and...
