I picked up a snap on box set off CL, and restored the bottom box (KR557 in the first picture).
I mostly wanted the set for the bottom box to make a workbench, but I'm on the fence with what to do about the top box (KR537A in the other picture).
I kind of want to restore it as...
I cleaned and fully disassembled the box (took about a gallon of degreaser and 12 old t shirts!), sanded, and wiped down with a wax/ residue remover cleaner.

What made me think they are a set is that the handles on the top box are the same as the handle on the bottom compartment of the roller box.
Sound like they are from the mid 70s then?
