I have the wide version and would not want the narrow version. When driving cars on and off, I appreciate the extra drive-through room the wide provides. Even with the wide, I'm still very cautious about not hitting an outside mirror!

Bought the 1/2" Rapidair system from Northern Tool. Went together easily. Used it to run air to my ceiling-mounted reel, and one wall-mounted outlet. I believe I paid somewhere around $80 for the kit.

I got a 4-post Bendpak this spring, primarily for storage. Love it.

Here are the two reels I have. You can see the different mounting brackets- in particular, how the mounting holes for the electrical reel are spaced much farther apart than the hose for the air hose reel.

Thanks! Good idea. I have no experience at all fabricating metal. I could perhaps attach the third piece of strut to the two mounted struts (running perpendicular to/across the mounted struts). Of course, that would drop the electrical reel 1 5/8" lower than the air hose reel, but maybe not...
